Jean-Honoré Fragonard: The Epitome of Rococo Elegance

Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732–1806) was one of the foremost figures of French Rococo art, known for his elegant and decorative style. His works are characterized by their soft pastels, playful charm, and themes of love and pleasure.

Fragonard developed the Fête galante genre, depicting outdoor festivities and romantic relationships. In these works, light and dynamic compositions, soft color palettes, and graceful figures dominate.

While his art retains traces of Baroque influence, it embodies the joyful and luxurious spirit of Rococo.
